Another Catch up!

Life is never boring here at Heathersedge!

We have now had our last foal of the season, another coloured filly which makes it 3 coloured fillies this year. Tessy has had another full sister to Fairytale and Glamour Girl

We have managed to get to a few shows where the weather hasn't spoilt things too much and have had some great results with all the horses, including a HOYS ticket for Torro

Next stop is Equifest and the CHAPS champs where we hope to have a fab few days away with the team and bring home a few rosettes

A busy bank holiday!

We have had a busy weekend with the horses, taking Torro, Pony and Ecki to the CHAPS South East show at Great Chart in Kent.  We have very sucessful day with Ecki winning his 2 classes, section championship and then going overall supreme inhand champion on the day, not bad to say he has been out in a field since CHAPS champs last September! The girls didn't disgrace us either, Torro coming 4th in her first ever HOYS class and only the 2nd time with a ride judge and Pony coming 4th, again in her first HOYS qualifier and her first ever time in and indoor arena.  We cannot thank Rick and Gemma enough for all their help and entertainment!

A busy Easter

We decided last minute to take Torro and Pony to the BSPA winter champs at Keysoe to see how they would fair in their first ever RIHS qualifier classes and it would be the first time Torro had a ride judge on her. The girls didn't disgrace us and both got the tickets at the first time of asking with Torro going champion of the section.

We then came home and Daphne decided that enough was enough and she foaled a lovely coloured filly on Monday at 2am.  We have called her Hilda and have yet to decide on a show name for her

Snow ponies!

As we had a small fall of snow overnight we decided to give the horses a treat and turned them out naked for a short while.  They loved having a good old scratch and roll in the snow

Another update!

It seems like quite a while since we have updated the blog so here goes.  We haven't quite been in hibernation and have hunted Buffy and Torro again, this time with the Readyfield Bloodhounds.  We have also been out and about with Torro and Alex and had a lovely trip to the indoor on Xmas eve and met with friends for a practice session.  Both are coming on well and we are hoping should with any luck make the show ring in 2012.  We have now got valuable help in the shape of our wonder woman, Gemma. She helps with the horses and has struck up a fantastic relationship with them all, especially Alex who we hope she will show for us this year.

A Sunday afternoon at Heathersedge

The Four Shires Bloodhounds met with us 02.10.11 and so we decided to give Torro and Buffy a run out with them. Buffy has hunted before but for Torro it was her first time.  Both girls behaved very well and we had a great few hours out with the hunt

A catch up!

Its been a while since we have blogged.  CHAPS champs came and went in a flurry of shampoo! We decided to take 2 lorry loads of horses - Merrie and Gertie, Ecki, Torro and Buffy. None of them disgraced us and we can back with a host of rosettes and sashes.

Ecki won both his Sport horse classes and championships on Friday and Saturday

Torro passed her mare grading with flying colours and was overall champion mare

Buffy did 2 dressage tests and was well placed in both

Merrie won her mare class and Gertie was 2nd (by 1 mark!) in her foal class

Many thanks must go to John Cutts for all his help and all our friends who made 'Camp Heathersedge' such a great place to spend time that weekend
